Kashmir Day Will Be Observed by The Nation on Saturday (February 5)

People of Pakistan have always offered determined moral support to the Kashmir freedom movement for the liberation of held valley from the hands of India.

Kashmir Day will be observed in Pakistan and AJK (Azad Jammu and Kashmir) on Saturday (Feb. 5) to express the solidarity with the people of held Kashmir; who are fighting for their basic right of self-determination for last sixty years.


The long-standing Kashmir dispute is a threat to peace and stability of this region and a cause of continued tension between the two South Asian nuclear powers.
Present government attaches great importance to early, peaceful and durable solution to the dispute, in accordance with the UN resolutions and aspirations of the people of held Kashmir.

The nation is against the unparalleled killing committed against the innocent Kashmiri freedom fighters in the occupied valley where more than one million Indian troops are stationed to quell the indigenous freedom movement.

All political parties including ruling coalition partners and people from various strata of society will join hands to express complete solidarity and unity with their Kashmiri brethren on February 5 for their just cause.

Shops, markets and business centres will remain closed on this occasion. Seminars will be held to urge the peace loving nations all over the world to exert pressure on India to stop its aggressive policies and allow the Kashmiri’s to exercise their right of self-determination.

The United Nations will also be urged by the speakers at various seminars to take notice of gross human violations, including custodial killings of innocent people in the Indian occupied Kashmir.
