Bilawal Bhutto to Lead Zardari Tribe |
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (May 31) – After the death of Hakim Ali Zardari, father of Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari, the leadership of the Zardari Tribe would have been passed to Asif Ali Zaradari; but it would have been Bilawal Bhutto Zardari who will lead the Zardari Tribe in future.
According to latest news Asif Zardari, who is also co-chairperson of Pakistan People’s Party, has decided to give up leadership of Zardari tribe after the death of his father and let it go to his son Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who happened to be the second Chairperson of PPP.
The latest development came into light after the statement issued by spokesperson of Presidency Farhatullah Babar.
The evolution to new tribal leadership is sanctified in a customary gathering of the tribal elders called "Dastar Bandi" that was held on or soon after the Soyem, the third day of prayers for the departed soul and receiving of the condolences.
However, the ceremony of 'Dastar Bandi' to assign the leadership of tribe formally to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has been postponed till such time when the overall conditions in the country are more favourable and the holding of such tribal ceremonies do not appear insensitive, Farhatullah Babar told further.
