Delta Air Lines Flight Diverted to New Mexico Due to 'Potential Security Threat': FBI Investigating

DETROIT, MI – A ‘potential security threat’, as it is described by authorities, forced a flight of Delta Air Lines to be diverted to Albuquerque, New Mexico. The flight was originally scheduled to travel from Detroit to San Diego.

Daniel Jiron, Albuquerque International Sunport airport spokesperson, told that Delta 1706 was diverted at 10 am after the calls received from FBI; but he didn’t talk what exactly the security threat was.

He further said that plane is on the airport but on a remote location and the passengers are being questioned. He didn’t mention the exact number of passengers on board.

 Frank Fisher, FBI spokesperson, refused to explain the situation and said only that FBI agents are probing into the issue.
