Suzane Mubarak Suffered Heart Attack after being Held for Part of Corruption Charges

CAIRO, Egypt – Suzane Mubarak, the wife of former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, has reportedly suffered heart problems after being held as a part of a corruption investigation.

The director of Sharm el-Sheikh hospital told that the 70-year-old Suzane Mubarak also had high blood pressure and would be examined for 24 hours in intensive care.

Former president Hosni Mubarak and his family are facing charges of "illegal acquisition of wealth" and Mr Mubarak is under custody of Egypt's Illicit Gains Authority, on charges he abused his position to illegally acquire wealth.

The 83-year old Hosni Mubarak, held power for 30 years but had to step down in February this year after weeks of protests, is currently being treated in Sharm el-Sheikh hospital while under arrest.
