25 Quakes Recorded in Taal Volcano Area in Last 24 hours: Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs)

Alert Level 2 Persisted Over Taal Volcano
MANILA, May 7 - - Latest series of volcanic earthquakes hit Batangas province, as 25 tremors were recorded during past 24 hours. Taal Volcano was comparatively quiet in the last few days after an intense seismic activity in the last month; but reportedly seismic activity is again gearing for last 24 hours causing earthquakes of mild intensity in the area.   

Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) stated in its Saturday update that water temperature and acidity at the Main Crater Lake has also been recorded.

Therefore, Phivolcs stated Alert Level 2 remains over Taal Volcano with the understanding that magma has been pushy towards the surface.
