British Police Search for Murderer of Canadian Woman |
LONDON (May 27) — The dead body of a Canadian woman, recognized as Angela Hoyt, was found in her apartment in north London after her relatives in Canada called the authorities when they couldn’t touch her for quite sometime.
The 34-year-old Angela Hoyt was working with Red Cross as communication adviser and reportedly returned back from Pakistan just few days back.
British police is searching for Martin Collett, who is believed to be ex-boyfriend of Angela Hoyt. Police also seek help from public to find out Martin Collett.
Angela Hoyt, who was originally from Windsor, Ont., moved to the United Kingdom at the age of 19 and studied journalism at the University of Wales before pursuing a career in media and communications.
Police sources call the incident a "tragic case" involving people who knew each other very well.
Det. Chief Inspector Mark Ross of the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire counties' major crime unit said, "My team is making a number of inquiries across the country to trace Martin as a matter of urgency but I would like to reassure members of the public that we do not believe he is a threat to anyone."
