Colorado, USA - The 4th Judicial District Attorney's Office stated that judges have finalized a verdict in the case of a man charged for physical abuseing of his adopted teenage son during a two-year period.
The 40-year-old, Jeremiah Lovato, was charged with more than 20 criminal counts for alleged mistreatment while Lovato and his adopted son lived in Craig and then northern El Paso County.
The boy, whose name is being withheld because of his age and the nature of the charges, has been treated for a week in the hospital after he escaped to a neighbour's house for help on January 3, 2010.
