Death toll rises sharply due to the continued harsh weather in southern United States. Authorities have confirmed the storm-caused death of four more people taking tally to 15 in the region since Monday.
Furious thunderstorms hit the region on late Tuesday and continued through Wednesday that killed one person inside a home in the state of Arkansas. In another incident a man was died in a road accident in the nearby state of Mississippi when his vehicle hit a tree fallen on a highway.

Two more storm-related deaths are reported by the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency.
The rivers can easily be poured out of banks due to heavy thunderstorms and rains; therefore, the governors of Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Missouri have declared states of emergency because of the threat of flash floods due to continued heavy rains and tornadoes.
