MUMBAI - - According to recent news from the land of current Cricket World Cup champions; former chief of Indian Premier League (IPL) Lalit Modi is preparing to take legal action against Giles Clarke, chairman of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), for an email sent to BCCI officials warning of a plan to start a rebel T20 league in England.
Reportedly, the email sent to BCCI president Shashank Manohar along with members of the ECB board claimed that Lalit Modi and IMG, the international sports marketing firm, were involved in the negotiations with counties trying to convince them to initiate an IPL-style Twenty20 series in England.
